What is the primary difference between a SARIMA model and a "regular" ARIMA model? A SARIMA model can only be fit to non-seasonal data, while an ARIMA model can be fit to all types of data. SARIMA is used when we wish to fit an ARIMA model to a time series that has strong seasonality to it. A SARIMA model is used to forecast cross-sectional data, while an ARIMA model is used to forecast time series data. A SARIMA model includes seasonal dummy variables, while an ARIMA model does not.
