This is the case in the truss shown below. The members that make patterns are called counters. There are two pairs of counters in this truss. Counters are members that can only support loading in tension. If a counter member is "asked" to support a compressive load, it cannot do that, and it will become a zero-force member. Likely, this means that the other counter in the pair is supporting a load (in tension). In the truss below some of the counters are supporting loads, others have no force in them. For the loading shown, determine which counters have force in them and find the force in those members. For this problem, it will be important for you to explain your solution process as you may end up testing multiple scenarios and have multiple FBDs. Your solution methodology must be clear.
