Particle in 1D Box A neutron is confined in a one-dimensional box of length L=2.00×10?11m with walls of infinite potential. (The rest mass of a neutron is 1.68×10?27kg.) The system is initially in its ground state configuration n=1. A photon then interacts with the neutron, causing it to jump to the excited state n= 2. (i.e. The neutron absorbs all the photon's energy, so the difference between n=1 and n=2 came from the photon.)
What is the energy of the system when in its excited state? Enter the numerical value in units of eV.
