Part 1: Calculate the ES, EF, LS, and LF times and the slack for each activity in the figure below, and identify the critical path for the project (MUST SHOW WORK TO GET CREDIT – INCLUDE FORMULAS). Can the project be completed in the required completion time of 30 weeks? Why or why not?
Part 2: Assume that “Systems Analysis” actually finished at 4 weeks, “Design Input & Output” actually finished at 3 weeks, and “Design Database” actually finished at 4 weeks. Can the project be completed in the required completion time of 30 weeks? Why or why not?
Figure 2: Figure for Question 2
Be very careful with inputting the Latest Finish (LF) and Latest Start (LS). REMEMBER THAT THE LATEST FINISH ON THE LAST STEP MUST BE WHEN THE PROJECT SAYS IT HAS TO BE DONE - NOT THE SAME AS THE EARLIEST FINISH (EF). So if the customer says it has to be done in '30 weeks', then your latest finish is '30 weeks', not when your earliest finish
