Lecithins are glycerophospolipids (phosphoglycerides) containing choline, \( \left(\mathrm{CH}_{3}\right)_{3} \mathrm{~N}^{+} \mathrm{CH}_{2} \mathrm{CH}_{2} \mathrm{OH} \). Draw a lecithin with stearic acid, \( \mathrm{CH}_{3}\left(\mathrm{CH}_{2}\right)_{16} \mathrm{COOH} \), at carbon 1 and oleic acid, \( \mathrm{CH}_{3}\left(\mathrm{CH}_{2}\right)_{7} \mathrm{CH}=\mathrm{CH}\left(\mathrm{CH}_{2}\right)_{3} \mathrm{COOH} \), at carbon \( 2 . \)
Lecithins are a type of glycerophospholipid. They are also called phosphatidylcholines and are important components of nerve and brain tissues. The amino alcohol portion of these molecules is choline. Complete the lecithin molecule by replacing each \( \mathrm{X} \) to show myristic acid \( \left(\mathrm{CH}_{3}\left(\mathrm{CH}_{2}\right)_{12} \mathrm{COOH}\right) \) and the \( \mathrm{Z} \) to show choline, at physiological \( \mathrm{pH}, 7.4 \). Include all bydrogen atoms and appropriate charges.
Modify the molecule to show the products formed by the hydrolysis of the following triacylglycerol. Add or remove atoms or bonds as needed. Show all hydrogen atoms.
