Given that the beam with a distributed load applied between nodes 2 and 3 in Figure (a) can be 
represented by the equivalent nodal force system as in Figure (b), obtain the nodal displacements and 
slopes of the beam for a given configuration in Figure 1 by using 2 and 3 linear elements. Also, find the 
reaction forces and moments. EI=108
 N/m2
, L=6 m, w=5 kN/m. 
For the sake of clarity, the equivalent nodal forces of the system given in Figure (a) are illustrated in 
Figure (c) for the case where the additional node is introduced between nodes 2 and 3
