Find a new combined functions by adding. subtracting, multiplying. dividing. or by composition of any two or more functions. Make a graph of new combined function by using technology. Use your knowledge of different. functions to explain key features (domain, range, maximum/ minimum if any, zeros of the function) and properties (odd/ even/ increasing/ decreasing) of the new function you created. You also have to describe factors that affect these properties. For this project you can choose any two or more functions except linear function, taught in this course to create a new function. For this you have to include - State which functions are you choosing to create a new function - Choose any operation from subtraction, addition, multiplication, division or composition to create a new function. - Explain step by step how you get equation of new function aigebraically - Make a graph of new function by technology. - Describe key features of graph of new function (domain, range, negative, positive intervals. interval of increase/ decrease, intercepts of new function.) - Describe the factors that affect these graphical properties of new function. - Recognize and Investigate different situation to find a real situation that can be model by this new function. - Compare new function characteristics to characteristics of two parent functions and state similarities and differences of functions. - Compare new graph to graph of each parent functions. - Any example of real situation which can be modelled by new function. - Include all which we have learned for different function in this course.
