A fuel jettisoning pipeline in the wing shown in Figure 1 (on Page 3 ) has length of: l=l1?+l2? and constant diameter D. The fuel from the fuel reservoir is pumped through the pipeline with fuel rate Q. The pipeline branches into three (3) very short tubes of diameter D (tubes 1,2 , and 3 ) with discharge nozzles, used for jettisoning fuel into the atmosphere (Patm?). Each discharge nozzle induces minor pressure loss equal to ? (constant for all nozzles). Length of the branching tube with nozzle negligible. The minor losses in pipes l1? and l2? due to friction follow Darcy's formula The height differences between pipeline elements are negligible. Use Conservation Laws and Bernoulli Equation to calculate the ratio of pipe lengths l1?:l2?, if the flow: through the nozzles are as follows: Q2?=3Q3?;Q1?=3Q2?; [15 Marks] Data and equations required for the calculations are given in Table 1 on Page 3
