A(CoA,CoASH, or HSCoA) is a coenzyme, notable for its role in oxidation of pyruvate in the citric acid cycle and later on you will learn of its role in the synthesis and oxidation of fatty acids. 1. Look up the structure Coenzyme A and draw the structure showing clearly all atoms. (2pts) 2. Identify by name the three main parts, acetyl group, pantothenic acid and phosphorylate ADP.(1pt) 3. Show the reactions in the citric acid cycle that involve CoenzymeA. Consider the biochemical reactions from pyruvate. Be sure to show how Coenzyme A is attached to the substrates or products. (2pts)
