The first medium has conductivity \sigma _(1) and thickness d_(1), and the second has conductivity \sigma _(2) and thickness d_(2). Both plates have the surface area A . Find the resistance between the two metal plates. See Figure 3-24(a) and replace \epsi _(1),\epsi _(2) by \sigma _(1),\sigma _(2).
