11. Rhizodus was a 20 foot-long predatory fish that lived in lakes of the Late Carboniferous. It is more closely related to humans than to ray-finned fish like trout. i) Would you expect the fin rays of this fish to attach to a bony trunk, or radially around a single cluster of bones?
